The method of dialysis that I am undergoing currently is the hemodialysis where the blood itself is cleaned and it is a direct method of cleaning the patient from the waste materials that the kidneys should clean but since the kidneys no longer function, the patient must rely on dialysis to bridge their life to see the light of another day.

But hemodialysis although it cleans fast has its downside on me particularly because right now I am constantly bidding to my nurses how much that they have to take from my body and even though I had loaded 3.5 kilos of fluids, they would only take off 3 kilos for example citing that my blood pressure falls down so it adds up to my body causing me breathlessness and that has been the issue I can't resolve. and it causes me to have a hard way to live.

I am now thinking to take the other type of dialysis which is the type where I can control my own dialysis and it gives me more freedom on my eating and taking fluids and then taking fluids off in a gentle way. I could also take fluids much closer to my dry weight so it will definitely give me a better sense of well-being.

But that type of dialysis isn't covered by my health insurance so I will have to pay out of pocket plus no hospital offers that type of dialysis here in my province because maybe it is cumbersome and not profitable for hospitals except from the major hospital in Manila where it is impractical for me to go there because of the distance, time, and effort that I have to do in order to get the treatment that I wanted. Add to that the pessimism of m parents to the idea.

I know that in some way it could make my well-being improve markedly but my hands are tied because I can't get the support of my parents plus the financial constraints that it will give me. I wanted that type of dialysis because it will constantly wash away the side-effect of my parathyroid medicine so that I won't feel il because of it. It is indeed a hard way of life where my hands are really tied and I am like a rat on a cage.

Wow, I understand your frustration. You could expose your parents all the benefits that this new modality of dialysis would bring for you, maybe you can convince them! With the help of them and the help of Steemit you could pay for the expenses and you can manage to take a session.
