We got notified today and was given this notice that in the 1st of February I will be paying another extra $4 dollars everytime I would visit for my dialysis treatment and that is another $4 dollars from the original amount of $6 dollars. It is a huge spike in price, almost doubled now the amount that I am paying so it is another pocket-burner for me.

Then the cost for a high flux dialyzer got doubled so it is quite a shock for me. It is just good that I am making use of my dialyzer for a month before I would change it but still it is really not good especially for patients that are less fortunate than I am.

It is still good as well that I can still carry this kind of burden, it just means that I have to tighten my belt a little and forgo with some of the things that I want in my life even though I cannot breathe anymore because of the current tightening that I am doing for quite sometime now due to my priority of buying my medicines that I needed which should not be ignored.

Anyway the reason for such revamp in dialysis price service was that the cost of the materials had gone up. But I could not fathom for myself why the additional charge for the high flux dialyzer got doubled and it also coincided with another additional cost for the hospital bill for every visit for dialysis.

This event will probably shook-off some of the patients in other dialysis centers where they are charging more than my current center where I go for my treatment. I might expect some exodus of dialysis patients from other centers to look for a cheaper one and one of the candidates is my dialysis center for that matter. So I might expect some of them to inquire to my center where the slots are very limited already.

I reckon that if there would be a global financial meltdown which I hope would not happen, it will definitely affect the dialysis patients since the materials that we are using are imported abroad so it is just a scary thing that I really do not even want to imagine.

So I just thank God now that I do have steem community, my friends here in the background that supports me is really a blessing from God for me because if not for the on-going help of you my friends I would have succumbed a few years ago from my current condition, you are all my heroes because you are saving my life every single day.
