Tokyo Legoland
Dear Steemians,

To conclude the 3 day trip to Tokyo, we took our kids to the wonderful world of Legos!

This place is located here in Tokyo, in a place called Daiba.

Before we begin, this location has a very fascinating history behind it, as it was a man-made island. Here are a few links that you could take a look at to see the changes in motion throughout history!

Anyways, [Legoland Discovery Center](https://tokyo.legolanddiscoverycenter.jp/en/) is located here in the Deck's Mall, which is a small shopping center that resembles a huge ship, at least from one side. While I would say that there was not much to do in terms of shopping, there seems to be plenty of eating options. For shopping, I would go to Diver City Tokyo, which is like a five-minute walk from Deck's Mall.

If you have now made up your mind to go to Legoland, remember to purchase your tickets [online](https://tokyo.legolanddiscoverycenter.jp/en/tickets/standard-tickets/) 24 hours in advance as you get a pretty sizeable discount. Once you enter, your kids will definitely have a ton of hours of fun! You start with a quick tour of how legos are made and then proceed to an area that showcases a ton of legos.

Afterward, you are able to take a ride on the Kingdom Quest, a ride on a slow-moving chariot with fake laser guns to "shoot" down bad guys and save the princess. Sorry, no pictures of this one as no photos were allowed. Then, we proceeded to the Lego Ninjago City Adventure, which is a kids cafe.

Basically, it is a fun house for kids where they can literally go wild and have a lot of fun inside. It kind of reminds me of the indoor playgrounds, but on a much grander scale, that I used to have fun at when I was a kid when the family went to McDonald's or Burger King. The parents can rest up a bit while the kids have fun at the cafe that is right next door. Once the kids got a little bit tired, we took them to a 4D movie that is located right next to the Ninjago City Adventure. It was actually the first 4D movie that the kids saw, with water spraying, snow coming down, wind blowing in your face, all while wearing the 4d goggles that still makes me slightly dizzy.

Then back to play at the City Adventure for a good thirty minutes. When all was done, we proceeded to go to the next portion of the tour, which was time to create stuff with legos. Our son, who is 5, went to the race tracks, where he could assemble cars and race them with other kids on ramps. Our daughter, who is 2, had fun with the duplo collection.

I don't think our kids were able to withstand any more of the craziness that Legoland could provide, and thus ended our journey. I believe there is more stuff to see as well as more rides to take, which you can see [here](https://tokyo.legolanddiscoverycenter.jp/en/whats-inside/), but overall, it was a ton of fun and a great experience for our kids!

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
Chris
