Hi Thomas, That would be very interesting naturalize quote who told of *Jim Harrison.* Why I can't unhappy in the middle of big river. I have no longer experience around the world's rivers. But I heard before amazon and Kongo river is most biggest & largest rivers around the world. It has scary looks with dangerous fishes like as Piranha. It's unhappy thing. But interesting one is if we have to see their behavior luckily people us. Also those rivers has impressive environment. We can relax there if don't hilarious to them. 
I don't know you hear about Sri Lanka. Here's Mahaweli river biggest one. But my favorite one is Menik River. Because there are have massive crocodiles. I prefer to to see their geographical behavior and balance environment.

What if we are in the middle of river,where there are different fishes, glaciors, running things all around and these will keep you happy :)

I know river will be dangerous to us may be also river will be helpful for develop human's life maybe. But if we didn't destroy river's background don't given un succeed task fro river. But humans bad activities gave more natural disasters. So please protect your background. Especially river. Water valuable for increase our life.

I remember we used to go for a picnic at river side. It was a nice activity and we had much joy over there. So the river is an interesting place to be at. The surroundings plays a great role, there is greenery and the shadow of trees make it a nice place!

My favorite river is of course the one that saw me grow and make my debut, the one I was riding on leaving school, it is of course Gapeau in the var, which extends over about 40 km and crosses Meounes the Montrieux, belgentier, Toucas Sollies, Sollies Pont, Sollies town, La Crau and finally flows to Hyères the palm trees.

Why ? It flows in my heart since I discovered at the age of 5 with my father, this river represents my past but also my present and surely the future for which I fight so that the young people find there still wild fish in the years to come, my father being more there, it is also the link that allows me to remember him every time I find myself on the banks to tease the beautiful zebra, it is also my memory some parts ...

This is the first time that I have heard these words. 

    “You can´t be unhappy in the middle of a big, beautiful river.”

Allow me to elaborate about what I understand from this quote. River is not stagnant, it moves, it ebbs and flows and it has a beginning and its has an end. It represents life, in fact it won't be incorrect if I say that a river represents life.

To be on it means that you are at the center of that life. Not just a part of it but you are actually either going with the current or against it. Either way you are now part of something so much bigger than yourself that it would be easy to miss it. Just like it is easy to forget the sky because its so vast that it surrounds you.

Once a person realizes this, I think it can change their whole perspective and allow them to appreciate this life. Which perhaps might bring happiness to us. I think those who have been in the middle of a river or traveled on it can relate with this.
