Continuing in the effort to upload my older YouTube videos.

This video was uploaded to my YouTube channel before we moved out to the farm. This was 2010. I had recently learned about the benefits of Black Soldier Flies so I was on a quest to build my own harvester. 

This small model did a fine job and did teach me through observation about how to build one bigger and better. I went on to build several more, but it hasn't really been a subject for more videos. Perhaps someday I'll build one again and do a proper tutorial.

Ever since I first heard about black soldier fly harvesters I have wanted to build one of these but I don't think we have black soldier flies up here. It looks like such a great idea especially if you have chickens or other fowl that love grubs.
