Gut bacteria plays a role in healthy elderly who have the same gut bacteria as healthy 30 year olds

Interesting, the study has found the microbiomes of healthy old people are the same as health 30 year olds. 

> The study, published this month in the journal mSphere, showed that the overall microbiota composition of the healthy elderly group was similar to that of people decades younger, and that the gut microbiota differed little between individuals from the ages of 30 to over 100.

So what about unhealthy 30 year olds or unhealthy 90 year olds? We need in my opinion to study the microbiome in more detail. Because the microbiome is more complex than most other parts of the body this may require computation to help study this. Perhaps someday we will be able to use blockchain technology or it's successors to study the microbiome or even our own microbiome.
