The Mirror

<center>

~

It all started with a marvel

A flashing gaze

The one that shows the fairest of them all

The one that shows the truth

The one that sees in the light

A path to Wonderland

She shows a reflection of what you are

A looking glass self

She makes a room bigger

She is a good listener 

She makes you adore yourself 

Once her heart is broken she is never the same

It hurts her

She is dying

Aspirational hate of killing  herself 

Watching her eyes bleed on the 3rd count of bloody Mary

Her reflections bringing down all the dominoes in its raging course

Blinded by the darkness

Peace is a far cry

At the crack of dawn

When the dust settles 

Thick petrichor still perceived from the heated skirmish 

All to no avail

We all return to dust

We are all reflections of ourselves 

Then why the killing

Why do we hurt ourselves 

Are we all pieces of a broken glass
