Hey Settlers and Monsters Maniacs, let's compare these two great games that even though they have totally different themes and gameplay have a lot in common, and that is that both games work on the Steem Blockchain, they have their own token listed on <a href="https://steem-engine.com/">Steem-Engine</a>, and in both games, we can win these tokens for playing.

I already have some time playing both games and in both, I have a lot of fun, and not only for the playable aspect, also the technical aspect, as they interact with the Blockchain I find it entertaining and interesting, really they are a great incentive to learn how transactions work, but this will be a topic for another occasion, today we will focus on the playability and as in both games you can get profits, let's do it.

<h1>Splinterlands</h1>
Who hasn't heard about <a href="https://steemmonsters.com?ref=darthgexe">Splinterlands</a> by now? formerly known as @SteemMonsters, <a href="https://steemmonsters.com?ref=darthgexe">Splinterlands</a> is a game of collectible cards with which we can participate in exciting battles, exchange them with other users, sell them on the market or ultimately burn them to return a certain amount of dark energy crystals. each card is a unique item and each user owns the collectible.

<h2>The Cards</h2>
In <a href="https://steemmonsters.com?ref=darthgexe">Splinterlands</a> the cards are the protagonists, depending on our collection we can play better or worse, that is why we will constantly find ourselves trading to improve our cards, studying which cards complement each other to use them in the same line-up, or selling the cards that surpass us or consider that we do not want to use. To raise the level of a monster we will have to combine several cards of the same character.

<h2>The DEC token</h2>
Dark Energy Crystals, or better known as DEC, are the internal currency of the game and an interchangeable token in the Steem Blockchain, but it is also tradeable in Tron and more recently Ethereum, making it a multiblockchain token.

We can get DEC in various ways, the simplest is playing games in the ranked mode where we will be rewarded with a certain amount of DEC every time we win a battle. We can also win DEC by participating in exciting tournaments, and burning or selling our cards (which we can also sell by Steem or Ethereum).

<h1>NextColony</h1>
<a href="https://nextcolony.io">NextColony</a> is a space-themed strategy game, in which our main objective is to grow our galactic empire as much as possible, for this we must explore space, produce and exchange resources, make allies and face other settlers.

It is based on the classic 0game but with many improvements and adapted to work in the blockchain, each of the planets that we colonize is a unique token that we can give, sell or destroy, or use it as a source of resources or base to explore the universe or from where to attack others.

<h2>The Skills</h2>
One of the important aspects of the game is to manage our skills properly, we can give priority to the skills that help us produce resources to be self-sustaining in that way but we could be vulnerable to looting by other players. Or on the contrary, we could focus on raising the level of the skills that help us in the battle and play aggressively attacking other players to steal their resources. Change we could give priority to the manufacturing skills of ships and thus constantly sell these in the market. Or a combination of several strategies, in the end, the way we learn the skills will determine our game mode.

<h2>The Stardust token</h2>
The exchangeable currency of the game is the Stardust token and, like the DEC, is interchangeable in the Steem-Engine market.

We can obtain Stardust in different ways, every time we send an exploration to space there is the possibility of finding a certain amount of stardust, we can also find in the explorations some items such as blueprints that we can sell in the market for some stardust, also when finding We can put a planet on the market for sale or we could even burn it to receive tokens in return.

But the real prize is achieved through the Yamato modules, each season the first 40 classified win great prizes in Steem and stardust, the goal of each season is to achieve the most points for developing or destroying these special modules.

<h1>Conclusions</h1>

As we have seen, both games have different themes and gameplay, but even though they are implemented in the blockchain, it makes them similar, the truth is that I see no reason not to play both games daily and get rewards in return.
