It's not a discussion anyway. I'm glad you took the time to reply. For the light year, distance and time concept, you need to dice in "what is warp speed". YouTube got many useful information about it. But I will try to explain with my best ability here.

Why is it call light year, not kilometer per hour, or mile per hour? It is because, the distance measured is traveling at the speed of light for 1 year!

Pictures we captured from the telescope is light years away. Which means, we're probably "looking" at something "happened" many billion years "ago" in earth "time".

Since it's impossible to travel across galaxy with the limited "time" earth people have, we came up with a theory of warp speed. By using antimatter. World beings are matter, which means u throw and apple, it fly out. And antimatter apple is, u throw it, it fly backwards. 😂😂😂 How is it possible? Again it's too long story for me to explain, but scientist already managed to create antimatter material.

So, instead of travel the distance(lightyear), we bend the time and bring time closer to us 🙂 I understand it's confusing, because that's what the scientist does, they found something this far, and we people are expected to take them all as whole truth.

And, my saying of go to a planet a lightyear away, spend one year there and come back. That's exactly the telescope concept. Because we need to travel so fast to reach that place, time become irrelevant. People on earth probably still seeing the planet from many years ago. You, spend a year build an empire there, but people on earth can't see you, because in earth time, probably our life time will not be able to see u land on that planet. By the time u travel back to earth, probably my great grandkids will be expecting you 😂😂😂
