Ah, jeeze. I spent the last 10 years of my father's life in close proximity as he diminished and died of the effects of dementia. This is a truly scary report on that possibility. I knew prior to formal diagnosis that he was fading. I had spent most of the preceding 10 years not in close proximity and the difference was stunning to me. It took some time, but I did get him to a neurologist and a diagnosis. It's been 10 more years now. But I keep going back to a line I used with a friend and confidant during that time: It would be really funny if it were on somebody else's TV. It was not funny to me. Thanks for a great interview.
