When asked in an interview by ABC News about the CDC and FEMA predictions Trump replied he didn't know why or how the CDC and FEMA came about their predictions.  He said they relied on data to shut down the economy that forecast two to three hundred thousand deaths, even with shut downs he felt it would be closer to one hundred to one hundred fifty thousand, which he said he still thought they'd get to the one hundred thousand as it is close now.  He said all these studies and data vary so it's hard to know which one's to believe but even at that we can't just stay in the house for the next three years.

I personally think that the original goal was to get hospitals prepared to a point where they could still be functional.  To me this is okay as a first measure but not giving people the same options of protecting themselves that is in line with the same standards used in hospitals that even with the hospitals up and running to meet the demand that that is all it does...it will keep creating hospital demand.  You'd think they get more companies willing to make n95 mask so that anyone not just hospitals and first responders get them.  Like right now the house is considering a hero's bill that will fund giving fire fighters more money to meet the demand....so now they will get priority over safety equipment.  Yes those people need protection but so do those who will now go out on the front lines to save the economy.  What they are doing, at least how I see it, would be like sending soldiers to war without weapons and just lining up all the necessary means to expand and protect those who'll be trying to save them if they get hit by a bullet.
