## <center>Neutrino astronomy</center><br>

<div class = "text-justify">Recently, thanks to IceCube, has been detected a neutrino coming from a black hole 4.5 billion light years away. For the first time the electromagnetic counterpart of this phenomenon was also observed, similarly to what happened in gravitational waves.</div>

<div class = "text-justify">IceCube is a neutrino detector located at the South Pole, and has been able to detect very energetic neutrinos emitted by the gases around a supermassive black hole. This time, thanks to the telescopes, it was possible to observe the electromagnetic radiation emitted in the same processes that produce the neutrino. In this way it was possible to confirm that the source of the neutrino was really a black hole, and this shows the potential of neutrinos as a tool to investigate the most inaccessible depths of the cosmos. Neutrinos are particles that interact rarely with matter, and are able to cross obstacles that photons can not overcome, and they can provide valuable information on the most distant cosmic phenomena.

## <center>Bacteria against autism</center><br>

<div class = "text-justify">A group of researchers from Southern Illinois University found important clues about the connection between autism and intestinal bacterial flora. In children that have received selected intestinal bacteria, the symptoms of autism became less noticeable.

<div class="text-justify">We can’t say that this is a cure for autism, but it is an encouraging sign that sheds some more light on this still very mysterious disorder. It seems that there is a correlation between the intestinal flora and the symptoms of autism, in particular hyperactivity and the tendency to repeat the same actions several times. The study was performed on only 18 children, so its results must be treated extremely cautiously. Now scientists want to extend the study to adults.

## <center>The cost of decisions</center><br>

<div class="text-justify"> According to a new work published on Science, humans are constantly conditioned in their decisions and their expectations by the costs incurred in trying to achieve their goals, and this would prevent them from being completely rational.</div>

<div class="text-justify">It is well known by who deals with trading... Very often it is difficult to give up what was expected as an easy profit, even in the presence of clear signs that indicate an imminent disaster, because we have invested a lot in that enterprise. And this, sometimes, prevents us from putting our attention to better companies. It is probably a typically human cognitive bias, which "force" us to consider the costs already incurred before taking a certain choice.</div>

<div class=pull-right>

<div class="text-justify">Certainly it is not a secret: in the last years social networks have conquered huge sections of the population, and few people are still able to live without them. It is not even a secret that social networks bring with them positives and negatives aspects... And, because of this, it is important to know them thoroughly and adequately reflect on this phenomenon, wondering what are the signs that we should "listen" to realize that we are going further.

## <center>Astronomia a neutrini</center><br>

<center>https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Icecube-architecture-diagram2009.PNG
Imagine CC0 Creative Commons - [Source](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Icecube-architecture-diagram2009.PNG)</center>

</div>

## <center>Batteri contro l’autismo</center><br>

Imagine CC0 Creative Commons - [Source](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Autismo-fita3.jpg)</center>

<center>https://i.imgur.com/PrtL6b2.jpg
