##
The era of neutrino astronomy

https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Icecube-architecture-diagram2009.PNGImagine CC0 Creative Commons - [Source](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Icecube-architecture-diagram2009.PNG)

For the first time, a neutrino from the depths of the cosmos was observed, originated from a black hole 4 billion light years away. The observation of the neutrino was accompanied by the detection of the telescopes, of light radiation coming from the same black hole. In this way it was possible to confirm that the origin of the neutrino was the black hole, but this observation is the first ever in which these two phenomena are recorded (emission of light and neutrinos), originated from the same cosmic phenomenon. The doors of multi-messenger-based astronomy based on neutrinos are open.

##
Rats damage coral reefs

It seems that the presence of rats in coastal areas can influence the life of corals in nearby ocean. The corals, to live, exploit also the nutrients coming from the coasts. These substances are mainly contained in plants, which, once dead, are transported into the sea by atmospheric phenomena. According to the researchers, the presence of rats decreases this inflow of nutrients, thus causing a lack of food for the corals.

##
Hypothalamus and hunger

It seems that a group of neurons located in the hypothalamus has a fundamental role in controlling the sense of hunger. The discovery was made by a group of researchers, who initially noted that, in subjects presenting trauma and damage to the hypothalamus, the sense of hunger is altered. The scientists then increased or decreased the brain activity of these neurons, finding that when the neurons were more active, the sense of hunger increased.

##
L’era dell’astronomia a neutrini

https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Icecube-architecture-diagram2009.PNGImagine CC0 Creative Commons - [Source](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Icecube-architecture-diagram2009.PNG)

##
