My Year 2020: Self Discovery Year For Me

There's this popular saying that if wishes were horses, beggers would ride.
Ten years ago in my country, a vision was birthed and twas called "***VISION 2020***".
The objective of the vision was that in the year 2020, everything, from the economy to every facet of the revenue generating source was gonna be very smooth with an hassle-free flow.

2020 was so hyped and adored that the year got so proud of itself😁😁.

The year 2020 has taken a lot from people and has also given a lot to people but either way, whether it gave or took from you, just always know and remember that ***when the going gets tough, only the tough gets going***.
So I wanna thank me for still standing strong despite all odds.

**DURING THE LOCKDOWN/PANDEMIC**

Most times, ***what I go through is what I grow through*** and the year 2020 made me go through lockdown because of the pandemic and I have really grown through it.
I never knew much about art but during the lockdown, I always lock myself inside my room everyday, thinking of how best I could discover myself, think of how I could use little things put together to achieve something big.
The above drawing was my first art for the year. I just believed I could do more than that and I never stopped. My self discovery in art started from the above piece of art. That's why I always encourage people never to despise the days of humble beginning because little effective beginnings put together will always yield positive results.

I got my first commission piece during the lockdown and gave it my best. When the offer came to me, I was scared I wouldn't be able to do it well. But my client spurred me up with so much courage. He believed so much in me even when I didn't believe in myself.

This was still me, always locked in my room every day, I quarantined myself, just me and my pencils.
I broke a lot of art rules, most times, I bend the rules and I still mend the rules just to blend with the rules.

The year 2020 has endowed me with a lot of top notch and scintillating ideas which no other year has in the past.

Art had always been my phobia but the year 2020 has thought me how to discover strength in my scars.
