Space Weather Daily Update for 2 March, 2018
## Big Sunspot Returning, Magnetic Star, Waterworld
We've got some small scale solar flares showing up due to the departing sunspot group getting more active as it slowly creeps off of the Earth Facing disc. Solar wind is low and the Planetary K-index is in low green, but we are expecting the next coronal hole stream to affect Earth this weekend.

### Earthquakes and volcanoes of note
* [5.9 magnitude earthquake](https://earthquaketrack.com/quakes/2018-03-02-02-20-12-utc-5-9-136) near Tual, Maluku, Indonesia
* [5.4 magnitude earthquake](https://earthquaketrack.com/quakes/2018-03-02-04-42-14-utc-5-4-526) near Yacuiba, Tarija, Bolivia
* [5.6 magnitude earthquake](https://earthquaketrack.com/quakes/2018-03-02-03-01-23-utc-5-6-28) near Tari, Hela, Papua New Guinea

### Space Objects
No new Near-Earth Object(NEO) added to the database. The biggest NEO to worry about, that was added this year, is the one coming at the end of the month. (2018 DH1), spotted at the end of February is possibly 1,000 feet across, but won't pass any nearer than 2 million miles from the Earth

### Other News
* [ULX in M51: Beaming with the Light of Millions of Suns](http://www.chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2018/m51/). Maybe they'll call them Black Stars. Sorry Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington, you were wrong.
> The Eddington luminosity, also referred to as the Eddington limit, is the maximum luminosity a body (such as a star) can achieve when there is balance between the force of radiation acting outward and the gravitational force acting inward. The state of balance is called hydrostatic equilibrium.
* [Using Hubble and Spitzer, astronomers analyzed the atmosphere of the “hot Saturn” exoplanet WASP-39b](http://hubblesite.org/image/4126/news_release/2018-09).
> By dissecting starlight filtering through the planet’s atmosphere into its component colors, the team found clear evidence for water vapor. Although the researchers predicted they would see water, they were surprised by how much water they found — three times as much water as Saturn has. This suggests that the planet formed farther out from the star, where it was bombarded by icy material.

* [Einstein@Home discovers first millisecond pulsar visible only in gamma rays](http://www.aei.mpg.de/2232960/radioquietmsp). Crowd sourcing wins again! And they found an odd pulsar to boot!

"odd"..."This was unexpected"....." more /less so than suspected"..."totally new".

hmmm...how's that theory working out for you?
does the data support it?

Well, I don't know if they ever expected pulsars to always do light and radio emissions. It does seem odd that the light isn't sending out a radio emission.

@everittdmickey ·
I'm with them as far a 'neutron stars'...maybe.
beyond that I part company with the 'standard model'.
(I imagine they're quivering in terror that I don't agree with them)
Like I said before...
Parallel universes ,
Trans dimensional gravitational attraction
and riiiiiiips in the walls separating them.
would explain a lot
