...  it all year round (excerpt for Corona times). What's exceptional about the second biggest city of Thailand -practically the capital of the north - is that you can see and experience so much of typical northern Thai culture and at the same time it's evolving in such a creative way. 

The Thai people love their cultural heritage and keep it alive -and they are very proud of their king who died 4 years ago after reigning for more than 60 years. I took this picture this year at the umbrella festival in one part of the city that practically specialized on paper craft.
