Got up around the usual time and got the regular morning bingabong done rather quickly.  Double checked the witnesses and noticed that another community witness had been voted into the top twenty, which signaled that the previous day’s meetings didn’t go very well.

I nearly immediately headed over to Discord to get the news and Justin was in the SCT server.  Only the server owner and Sun were allowed to talk for the majority of it and so he became the defacto spokesperson for the Steem community.

It makes me very nervous that one community has so much power and it frustrates me that the witnesses get to deal with a Tron representative, whereas Sun goes directly to the Korean community.

As a result of the turmoil of the past few weeks, I had become ever more solidified in my desire to run a witness.  There have been several times through the past several years where the APIs have gone down and we get blocked out of our accounts.

This is an unacceptable vulnerability that renders our keys useless.  While there are several full nodes running, the more that are available, the stronger and more secure the blockchain will be.

For this reason, I have created @full.node.  I am only in the very beginning stages at this point (just created the account and profile), but I’ve been researching into the costs and requirements as much as I can without bothering the current witnesses who are already quite busy.

In the afternoon I went for my daily walk.  Put in a solid six kilometers, a bit longer than I have been lately.

Wasn’t quite as cold today, but it was sort of snowing/raining a little.

I finally completed the third season of Zombiesrun!  Moonchild fell from the top of Comansis Tower and Runner 3 sacrificed himself and cried his brain to send the anti mind control signal.  The broadcast was sent successfully and everyone who was mind controlled has returned to normal (just a bit dazed and confused)!

Four of four zombies evaded and season completed.

I even got a letter and some land from the king himself!  Moonchild’s last words were to look in the National Archives cross reference to the blue flowers...we found evidence that there was a zombie outbreak just like this one over a thousand years ago!

I moved up in the Holybread ranks for a brief while, right up to the border of 100.  Started to fall again, though.

Ended up not getting the arena task today.  Definitely more losing than winning.

Steemmonsters was complete and utter bullshit today!  I have Death splinter and I got on a couple good streaks which, hooray! got me up into Diamond III!

But then it simply refused to allow me to finish the quest. 😡🤬 I’m now several hours late posting, which will likely mess up my votes for tomorrow, and couldn’t even give up in Gold II.  So, no completion and no rewards for today. 😭

It does seem that I was mistaken about the new gold coins.  They allow a route into Steemmonsters directly from fiat using PayPal, so that’s awesome!!!
