Syria (or at least its leadership) is one of those who would like to end the existence of Israel. Russia is allied with the Syrian government and keeps arming them. I don't really see how Israel is confused.

It is, however, stupid to keep arming the rebels in Syria. They are even worse than Assad in most cases (or at least in an indeterminate number of cases). The U.S. should stay out of it and it would be helpful if Russia did the same.

Run via Apartheid how? All citizens have the same legal rights. In fact, the vast majority of Arab citizens in Israel have no interest in becoming part of a Palestinian state. In Syria, you can only be president if you are Muslim. There is no such religious requirement for the leader of Israel. Syria used to have a very large Jewish population but most left due to persecution there.

I'm not saying I agree with every move Israel makes but I understand most of them given that the modern state of Israel has been under attack since it was born.  

The modern state of Syria and the modern state of Israel were born around the same time. Both are in large part ultimately a result of the collapse of the Ottoman empire.

And like I already said. I don't think the U.S. should be involved, whatever the dollar amount.
