Thinking Positive and Being Beyond Blessed: My First Job Interview In 4 Years!

***Hello all of my Steemit friends, followers, and soon to be followers. This week I had my first job interview in four years. It felt amazing to prepare, plan, and feel positive for big changes in life.***

All weekend long I spent my time getting the right outfit together. I was preparing for the right interview questions and rehearsing meeting people...over and over again. I had flash cards, tons of resumes, cover letters, and positive quotes all printed out prior to the interview. Needless to say, I wanted change,I wanted to be prepared, and failure was not an option.

I remember walking in the beautifully sculpted building as if it was seconds ago. Everybody had nice outfits on and looked as if they had been in important meetings all day long. I was nervous as all hell, and couldn't help but wonder if I belonged or not.

While sitting in the waiting room, I looked at all of my potential challengers....sizing them up, reading there body language, and seeing if I was holding myself better. I felt as if I was preparing for an intense wrestling match.

When my name was called and I was escorted into the interview panel, I was nearly shaking. Then I saw the wonderful people judging, and staring at me....and I completely became myself. I had them laughing, and talking, and discussing there jobs with me. It felt awesome, but after the interview ....I had to take multiple grammar, typing, math, and analytical tests. I breezed through those and spent the next few days shaking with anticipation.

***Today I got the call from the hiring manager. I got the job!!!! Does anybody remember the scene from "pursuit of happiness" where Will Smith lands his dream job as a stock broker?? That is exactly how today felt!!***

This has honestly been an amazing day, 3 weeks ago...I had lost my home and now I feel beyond blessed to have gone through that. I have not been posting much this week, due to moving, schoolwork, preparing for my interview. But now I feel amazingly blessed, and things happen for a reason. I will be making much much more money then the wonderful place I have worked prior, and I can finally start my career.

This is incredible to hear. I remember when @binkley told me your story. I felt compelled to read and sympathize with you. We have been here in life where we had no home, living in a hotel, and no job. It was gut wrenching. When we got a place to live and a job a boulder fell off and over a cliff. Its nice to take a deep breathe and see change happening. Good luck with your new job!!!

Honestly everything is coming together, and I feel like this was all meant to happen! I really appreciate you and @binkley support:) I'm beyond grateful for his reaching out, and attempting to help....It would have been cool to see the crowdfunding work, but it feels amazing knowing it all worked out! Thankyou @bunkgirl! That had to be gut wrenching though!
