Established: 2017 Hubby and I have visited this museum a couple of times and it's certainly one of the most interesting places I've been to with some amazing contemporary art pieces. > I regret that I cannot recall many of the artist names or details as it's been a while since I've been. **The good news for locals in South Africa is that we have free entry on Wednesdays between 09h00-13h00 which with the economy as it is makes for a good incentive to visit the museum at least once**  **Be warned that you will come across some interesting art concepts**  ** source** (https://www-wantedonline-co-za) **Photographer Roger Ballen donates his entire body of work to Zeitz MOCAA Influential photographer Roger Ballen has announced a major donation of his entire body of work to the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA)** > I include quite a few of his art works as I find it intriguing, disturbing on some levels but yet fun on others as we had a few good giggles looking at it all and taking it in. I include a link up top where you can read more on the photographer Robert Ballens.       **A person is tied up inside the sheet, if I remember correctly it depicted human trafficking and the invisibility of the victims**   *_An interesting interpretation by Marianne Fasller and artis Kudzanai Chuirai about the bloody female form_  **Description underneath for the blooded torn dress above**   **Madonna with a baby ⬆️ painted 400 years ago. Read description below.**  **The architecture astounds. The Zeitz MOCAA Museum used to silos that were converted into this stunning contemporary modern museum**  **Six flights of spiral staircase**  **The strengthened glass roof at the top of the building through which one can see down to the ground floor. A Scary place to stand for someone with a healthy fear of heights**  **The rest of the glass roof**  **Strong colors and rough textures**  **An amazing art piece with a worded message embedded in the painting**   **A war horse, I feel the red depicted the blood loss**  **A watercolor**  **Some of the original architecture incorporated**  **Not sure at all? 🤔 It looks like it should be a human representation?**  **And then we had some fun outside the museum where there's a whole lot of these funny swiveling, rotating seats which makes for a lot of fun and laughter.**  **This is a museum that I will visit again and again. It houses many local artists and has some quirky and fun art pieces that you won't forget in a hurry.
