This happens in much of the world, my daughter Brenda is studying the career of a stilist, a career that takes more than a year to learn and get her diploma and authorization to work on it, she paid $ 1000 dollars of registration and 12 payments of US $ 30 monthly.

Today I have read several articles in California law that are really curious, that lead me to think about the absolute control of the government over the working class or maybe a way to manage the migratory force that enters the United States after the American dream.... 
I am from Venezuela and the economic situation of my country has forced many professionals to enter other countries doing anything to survive, maybe these laws are a funnel for all those who enter that nation will make it difficult for them to access decent work and end up being the main objective of these laws.

Another interesting article for me to read and ponder.  When are these authorities leave the citizens alone and let the free market govern it self?   
I feel stifled every direction I turn in this country, supposedly the Land of the Free even after living here for 43 years.  
Let me seek the real Freedom!

I am a stylist by profession, in my country they demand to patent the business to work freely and present the title that proves having done a course. I have heard of negligence cases in many who claim to be professionals. It cost me a lot to get the title, time and money, and I am happy working on what I like ... we are human and we can make mistakes! It is bad to take everything to the extreme. Security for the client and security for the professional. Regards!

So you need 1000 hours of training to shampoo - maybe that's why my son doesn't quite get it?!!
Really, it's beyond absurd to come up with so many regulations to prevent someone to get a decent job.

Sounds absurd. We are putting so much emphasis on certifications that people who just learn and take the exam are valued more than those who have done the work with years of experience.

Control. COntrol. Control. That is what it is all about. If you are not licensed, then the state cannot tax you. But it is fine to give tax breaks to the people who tanked the world economy.

We have this law for hair grooming in Ontario I believe it is about 4 to 5 years now.
