Following the recent Bitcoin craze, NASDAQ announced its plans to introduce Bitcoin futures, as early as Q2 2018, [Bloomberg said](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-29/nasdaq-is-said-to-plan-bitcoin-futures-joining-biggest-rivals), quoting "a person close to the matter".

That means Bitcoin will be traded - not directly, but by using this "futures" vehicle -  on a highly regulated exchange. It's the third regulated exchange announcing this intention, after CME Group Inc. and Cboe Global Markets Inc.

I don't know what to say about this new trend (because it's a trend: Bitcoin is getting more and more on the regulated market). 

As a matter of fact, I don't see it completely good or completely bad. Instead, I see a few good points about it and few not so good points.

## Good points

* more traditional money entering into the crypto ecosystem
* more visibility for the crypto ecosystem
* potential price increase

## Not so good points

* heavy regulation means less flexibility
* high leverage and shadowy business practices common on the Wall Street may spin this out of control, into a real bubble, or some sort of "Lehman Brother for cryptos", with potential very bad consequences for the technology itself
