I have two thoughts on Ripple's growth. 
1. The banks see the value of blockchain and the benefits they can get from it- time and cost savings for faster and more efficient transactions.
2. Banks are starting to see the impact of cryptocurrencies in centralized market, and somehow wants to take part in it, either for financial gain or to get some control back. Being a big player in crypto would mean stronger influence in the market as a whole. 

So for investors,  going for or against Ripple would entirely be based on the reason they are in the crypto world. If for the idealism behind the crypto creation- which is being fully decentralized- then they would never ever touch Ripple. Ever. 
But for those whose main goal is financial growth, I think Ripple is a good venue to reach that goal.

That is my reason for not touching Ripple. If they can stand their own ground with out banks then its a good thing but will all the red tapes that comes by joining the banking system I don't see a great future.

The future looks bright and i think we still have some way up to go. Starting to see more news articles about crypto and it's gaining traction with ordinary investors. 

[US Total Savings Deposits at all Depository Institutions](https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_total_savings_deposits_at_all_depository_institutions) is at a current level of 9.025 Trillion. Just moving a small amount of that into crypto will make a big impact.
