Invention of bread , dates back to the era of grinding stone

Bread is an artificial food made from a dough of floor and water through baking or by other processes (like kneading)[Read More](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kneading).
The origin of bread cannot be traced to a particular person or place but believed to have been existing about more than 22,000 years ago.
Back to history ,we believed that many can prepare bread according to their mode, trying to pin a particular person or people as the originator or inventor become impossible rather we can say this is the origin or inventor of sliced bread.
Taking an ancient food like bread totally became impossible to know the inventor. Bread have existed back as far as 22, 000 years ago, as of sliced bread we can really say it first existed 1930 by name "wonder", flowerfood industry.

![image](https://img.esteem.ws/7yyt1ym8fr.jpg)

It was a great ceremony and till date a historic day. Wonder ballon were displayed , there were sounds in the air having this great sliced bread for the first time.
[source](wonderbread.com/our-story/)
Scientist caught an evidence of human processing wild cereal grains dated back as far as 22,000 years ago. This is a clear touch that bread had been existing for years but may not be actually the way we do design or prepare nowadays bread but scientists at an excavation site in israel caught an old barley grain in something like a grinding stone.
we can recall old movies we do watch to see how flat and the process by which they make their own bread, quite different in this modern days processing.
The main ingredient in making bread is the grain. And as of history the first plant that were kept, nurtured , worked on for more were first harvested by the Natufians.
(Dorothy at center discovered Natufian culture) [Read More](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natufian_culture)
Natufians lived in the levant region of east about
12,500 years ago. They are hunters-gatherers (they hunt animals and pick up foods), its hard for them to grow crops. Their lifestyle is just on what to eat today and life goes on . They don't cultivate or rear until as of late then the invention of agriculture [Read More](https://www.thoughtco.com/hunter-gatherers-people-live-on-land-171258).
So it is also of note that this hunter-gatherers had the tool for grinding barley then carried on the local processing into bread.
Although Natufians are not known as working towards agricultural base but many of their approach still pave way to the earliest agricultural based society.

As time goes on (in the thousands of years ) agriculture became a culture, cultivation of grains became more exposed ,interaction and trade pave ways for middle east ,asia to work together with Natufians at Nile valley and even in indus valley.
This makes it more possible to domesticate the cultivation of grains. It is also of note that evolution of bread adds to integration, trade, unity, development and political maturity.

(Ancient bread stamp)
There are existence of the harappans (Now Pakistians), the Egyptians and the mesopotamians (Now Iraq) in which their dependencies are mainly on bread and they existed like 5000 years after the Natufians. Bread as of that time are for class .
you have nothing until you have bread.

Now you have yeast risen bread. Some challenge that it existed from the time of Egyptian while other scientist never believed so by an argument that assume if existed then why do they use barley and enmer wheat to produce beer since they can easily make beer by the other way round "baking yeast dough" into "beer loaves " then process it with water, allow fermentation, next is beer.
Recall that beer and bread are the same , beer is like a liquid bread. This is true because both have the same ingredients (water ,grain, yeast).
so from time of old till date we have had the existence of bread, from unleavened to flat , to leavened and to sliced bread . we can't really say the inventor or the originator but we can conclude that bread was invented by the first entity that crushed grain against a grinding stone.
