Firstly to really know this truth we must know where we come from who create us! And without a doubt we are created by God almighty the same person who created the universe and everything in it (read Gen 1). So it should very logical that the one who created us should be the one with the manual to our lives he is the one who has the ability to say what we are! He 
is the only one whose opinion about us matters. 
 
All this wondering in mankind is as a result of the fact that mankind at some point was disconnected from their source of live and meaning which is found only in God. ( Col 2:21, Isa. 59:2)

Jesus who is God in human flesh had to reconcile us to the father by his death on the cross. Therefore in Christ Jesus our personalities and identities are unveiled. In fact in Christ Jesus we now receive a citizenship of country 
who nationality is well defined and with a clear code of living(2 Cori 5:18, Col 1:20-21, Rom 5:18) 

If we can clearly accept this truth then our entire existence is redefined and finds meaning not just on fake and shallow philosophies of men but it stands on God’s own very words.

Now the question of  WHO AM I? Changes to WHO DOES GOD SAY I AM?

Therefore we can clearly conclude this phase by saying that who we are is what God says we are. So what we really need to know is what God says we are.

It is vital now that we understand that the word of God has become the true mirror of our lives. Our actions are judged based on God’s word 
now not on men’s ideals. We must understand that we have received a new code of Life now and a new citizenship all together (Roms. 8:2, Phil 3:20)

So there we must be conscious we must make every effort to get intimate with the word of God and his Spirit so that they might testify to 
us of our identity (Rom 8:16)

TASK 3: SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES THOROUGH TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRITTEN IN IT CONCERNING YOU.

WHAT AM I HERE FOR?
This aspect of purpose is revealed in your everyday life and activities. This aspect of purpose is born from the desperation to meet a need in humanity. This aspect of purpose comes from the resonance within one to meet humanity. In some other terms one might call this his assignment. 

It is very important that after understanding one’s personality he should also get to know his assignment clearly too.

For every assignment God has for a man there is a unique set of gifting and tools God gives the person to be able to achieve or complete his 
assignment. Sometimes the nature of tools you are given can best describe the kind of assignment you have being given. 

Also we must understand that our assignment is equal in magnitude to the ability or gifts we carry. We can clearly understand this from the parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-28.
Also we must understand that our assignments are sometimes born from a longing in our personality to meet out a particular need in humanity, example Nehemiah, Esther etc. and many others in the bible.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is our assignment no success is really worth celebrating, no goal is really worth achieving if it is out of our purpose.

This assignment always puts others ahead of one’s self. To really discover this purpose one has to become selfless in love and actions. It means you look away from yourselves and focus on the relationships God has built or is 
building. Because when it comes to purpose it is all about others and how your well of water becomes the source of lively hood for others.
So we are going to be doing a series of task to help us discover the purpose of God for our lives.

TASK 4: Try paying more attention to the people around you and less to yourself. Try to understanding your environment and the kind of people God is bringing your way and the relationships he has helped you establish over the years. 

TASK 5: Reflect vividly on the kind of people that have been attracted to you over the years and for what reasons where they attracted to you.

TASK 6: Write down 5 gifts or abilities you think you naturally possess and have had the ability to harness over the years (please don’t ignore any detail). (Case Study the Call of the 12 disciples of Jesus).   They were all called based on the gift they had enhanced before meeting Christ

TASK 7: Write down 5 things that when people mention your name they thing about. 

TASK 8: In about 150 words what will your change in humanity if you are given the power. Be sincere with your answers and please meditate very properly on this before giving an answer. 

TASK 9: Have you ever suffered something so bad! Which makes you never want another person to go through the same thing.

CONCLUSION
In every man is a natural longing to serve humanity in one way or the other. 
Find that hunger within you and let the spirit of God guide you to it.
