The Wonderfull Platform that is OPENMIC!!!

## <center>Today I want to tell you guys about the best platform on Steemit for Musicians in my opinion, namely Openmic, hosted by @luzcypher and powered by @pfunk</center>

Starting out on Steemit I handled my bands page @dewallenband. As a new Steemian everything was very confusing and I wasn't sure how music was going to slot in on a platform mainly dominated by Crypto news. I soon found out how diverse Steemit actually was and with that I also found the Openmic competition.

The Openmic is a weekly competition that allow artist to submit video's of them performing original or cover songs. This is firstly a great tool to help artist get exposure on this crazy platform that is ever expanding with new users and crazy amounts of content. Secondly it also offers the chance to get a little bit more out of their post income that is a major plus for musicians, as most people know it's very hard on musicians making a living from their art and being able to afford quality instruments to use for their quality music.

I would love to create a similar contest to help artist get the most out of their posts, but I have yet to think of the right idea.
