My mother always gets rid of the old things, clothes and some leftovers of 20th century technology, and sometimes, I just can't watch that. However, I found myself in her place yesterday while she was doing that and took an old shoe box from the basement. It was full of old tapes, most of them belonged to my dad. She told me to throw the box, but I decided to explore what's in there. I had a lot of tapes and during the years they all just ... died. On all tapes was written what was there, but not on one. I took an untitled tape in my hands and I felt that I was holding it in my hand a long time ago. This definitely belongs to me. 
#### But what was there? 
I decided to find some old cassette player and check it! I turn the whole basement upside down to find one. First I cleaned it, I plugged it and it worked!!! Then I placed a tape in and my heart was about to explode!!!

#### I recognized all on the tape and images of how I got it came to my head. 
There was the album by Capone-N-Noreaga, "The Reunion" from 2000. I got this copy from my friend in 2001, when I was sixteen. Hip hop was the most popular culture in my city at the time to young people and school kids. The schools were full of rappers, we all were writing lyrics, performed freestyles, many of my friends were grafiti artists, but only I was a beatmaker. We had more of those crews in the city, all contained 20-30 teenage kids between 14 and 18 years old. And we didn't like other crews, but somehow, that was the source of the inspiration.
#### The things grew even bigger when we started to abuse different kind of drugs. 
We had good weed in 2001 but bad ecstasies and LSD trips. Some of us were really making money with it. When I look to my past, I see all in black&white images. Fights, blood on the eyebrows, running from police, sex with some girl on the bench in the park... Or hilarious scenes when our school teacher's knees were shaking when he had to give us the test.
That behavior brought other genres  of music to young people and in next few years only few of us remained as rappers. That's something like natural selection. Some people will accept every trending culture and music only because it became popular on MTV. 
#### I am glad that I was responsible all the time and I managed to be formal leader of my crew,  successful at school and I was working in order to help my family and prove myself to my dying father. That's life, you can't avoid your history, it made you a man you are today.
But my friend who copied this tape to me was stuck in that grayscale world, exaggerated in every possible thing and ended up in a mental institution. Today he is completely different person, 32 years old guy with brain of 16 years old teenager. 
#### You can try whatever you want in your life, but only if you are sure that you will be able to get out - undamaged!
