<p>There he sits, this form called Alex<br>
Gliding through life, coasting through the days and nights.<br>
Here sits this body, alive and awake, and...<br>
Conscious.</p>
<p>What is this consciousness?<br>
Where am I, not here nor there..<br>
Not inside or out, but somewhere I am, somewhere I must be?</p>
<p>Who sees through my eyes<br>
When I look at the stars<br>
Who witnesses the sunrise<br>
When im lost in deep thought<br>
Who’s holding the reigns?<br>
Whose directing my mind?<br>
The conscious, the unconscious, or am i something else entirely?<br>
<br>
What is the unconscious mind?<br>
TO know that, I have to know where am i...<br>
I am not That...<br>
I am closer to the higher conscious mind.</p>
<p>Here sits the soul that drives and steers this body and this mind<br>
  This great expansive all knowing I, that lives far beyond 
me.<br>
I am not this or that.<br>
I am.</p>
<p> My thoughts are not from within<br>
They are not my own<br>
That inspiration, those ideas, my creativity flow,<br>
it's not mine and its not me<br>
i am not my thoughts<br>
i am the experiencer of my thoughts</p>
<p>my mind is minor mystery<br>
  compared to me<br>
my unconscious mind is just a blanket<br>
to protect, and keep me here in this duality.<br>
<br>
My unconscious mind is like the secret service<br>
It's works on a need to know basis,<br>
Hiding the truth...<br>
Spoon feeding the facts.<br>
Here to serve and protect,<br>
Guided by the higher conscious mind,<br>
for me,
<br>
whoever I am.<br>
It even protects my identity<br>
allows me to play this game of life<br>
through the tiny lens of consciousness.</p>
