The rose of the desert. Margarita Island (Venezuela).

The desert rose found in my mother's house. It is a shrub that has very beautiful pink flowers, but they can also be red or white. The most characteristic is its stem that is a measure that is growing this is increasing in size. Its scientific name is obesum, because the stem shape reminds of obesity, in addition to its curious shape, the stem also has a function: it acts as a water reserve.
