It is a lesson that all parents should learn from and prepare their minds inorder to live longer and happy ever after.
The Bible says that Children are the Heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward.
With this scripture, every parent should raised the child with hope of having a reward from God whom may use other children to bless you. That is why in Africa, parenting used to be a community responsibility with the implied implication that no one person owns a child. But today the reverse is the case, most people don't want others talkless of the community to correct the child's ill.
Most parents are paid back full in their coins because the did not tow the part in the Bible that says "Children, obey your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right. Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother—this is the first commandment with a promise.That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth".
#### _Ephesians_ 6:1-3 _(AMP)_
The had resented their own parents, starved them, fought them etc, and they will ask God what they did wrong to deserve such treatment ( though such questions do not expect answers). Unless there is a Divine intervention, the case is usually a payback.
Here what Ephesians 6:4 says
"Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord."
Some parents abandon their parenting obligation(s) exposing the children to hazards of varied degrees. When such children scales up in life and becomes great in life, there abound the tendency to recent the parents especially those that do not know Christ.
Continuing from Episode II, Ndasemmo grew up to be a very beautiful lady who at every point in time felt her mother was embarrassing her with her looks and takes every opportunity to antogonise the mother, complaining to friends that she didn't know how she became her mother. Sometimes, the mother regrets why she didn't allow her to die in the fire, which makes her always sad.
Ndasemmo often times neglected the mother to abject wants so that she begged to eat from strangers. One day, the mother being tired of being treated like a leprous person sumed up courage to go visit her daughter in the next city to ask her why she was treated that way by her and to also explain how she got disfigured. Sadly on her way to see the daughter, the vehicle she boarded got involved in a ghastly motor accident and she died in the hospital.
At the hospital, her bag was searched for any form of identification and the daughters address was found and she was contacted. On being informed of the mother's demise, she started dancing and rejoicing. ( finally God has taken my shame away) she said in her heart.
Immediately, she travelled to her city to meet her kinsmen and prepare for burial.
While going through the documents, she say old newsletters that carried the mum's picture as the cover page, that year she was the winner of miss their country, more prettier and stunning in looks. She further read through her diary and read the story of the fire incidence.
She started crying, but by this time, the mum was in the morgue. She pleaded with God for forgiveness of how she dealt with the mother.

In conclusion, as parents, always tell the story(ies) of to life to your children. Let them know what you went through in life and possibly take a lesson or two from it.
Secondly, children should learn how to forgive their parents and support them even when they never invested in them. Never be ashame of your parents irrespective of their status and looks, be proud of them and know that you came into that family for a purpose. Give your family the background you desire to see.
Thirdly, allow people to correct your children when they err.
