We often spend a great amount of time admiring how far steemit has come, but do we spend that time remembering the sacrifices of those who made it happen?

# Was he right?
To every joe out there, he might seem totally right, but I believe if he could say it now, it would be "I can confirm that steem is everyone.
I realized that there are so many classes of people on steemit, the heroes, the anti-heroes(not in the bad sense), the villains, the people's choice, the community shakers etc
The reason for such classification according to me is because there has to be a constant balance, and these individuals have always provided that balance for everyone. They are the reason why people can think and earn. Yea @ned and @dantheman created it all, but guess what? It took collective efforts to get thus far.
# Who are the heroes?

We all are, but truth be said, we have people like @thecryptofiend, who never talks but helps out, @pfunk, the shadow hero, @berniesanders, who fights for continuity and quality, @andrarchy the hard worker, @aggroed, who pushes the younger generations, @surpassinggoogle, who hones talents faster than light, @steevc, who is highly addictive, @papa-pepper, the man who has changed the definition of charity, @good-karma, whose brilliance cannot be quantified, @teamsteem, the man who is everywhere, @infovore, the steem patriot, @stellabelle, she knows how to make quite an entry, @ausbitbank, the man who is always on duty,  @jmehta who answers when you call, @timcliff, his profile says it all, @acidyo, who watches from the shadows, @curie, who ensuring excellence, @elyaque, he who beautifies steemit, @firepower, so much power in promoting steemit, @roelandp, your impact is felt, @donkeypong, that enlightens, @jesta, always being innovative, @gonzo, @intelliguy, I love the way he connect words, @karenmckersie with the heart of gold, @joanaltres, religion remains evergreen with you, @kingscrown, the steem crown, @lordvader, you make thousands of people smile each day, @mynameisbrian, he shows us your talent can push you even if it's cartoons, etc
# Why list so many?
To enlighten us about a point, they are **GIVING** to the community in their own way. It is not for everyone to stalk and message them to death, it is for us to emulate the principles they have laid down.
The path to success is often a thorny one....well maybe expect for @trafalgar, the dude is one hell of a lucky gambler, yea! you need to see him write, we can all pick up a thing or two.
Back to the words coming out of my mind, giving is a concept I value most. Not necessarily monetarily, but we must always bless a system which blesses us  and who is the system? we are! and someone once told me, respect the people you meet on ground, they are the history you need. If you decide to stalk them, put your money where your mouth is.
@steevc once told me, everything in life is earned, glad he told me I earned it. The message behind that is work hard, not stalk hard.
# Is there a better way?

Yes, by following the examples of those we look up to. Rephrasing that statement, by following the good examples of those we look up to.
We might look like we are drowning, so we cry out for help everytime, but we should remember, help is available to those in true need of it. Why do I say so? the minnow support project was created, various other movements were created, the people who are new should start from a feasible point of view instead of trying to attain 70 reputation in a week. It seems like a good idea at first, but like most good ideas, they turn sour when you account for only one entity which is yourself. All the names I mentioned here are not concerned solely about self, but mainly about others.
@surpassinggoogle taught me something valuable, will you also remember to help other when you get to the top and be celebrated?Truthfully most would forget, not because of a default error in programming, but because in a haste to get to the destination, we forget the essence of the journey

We are all heroes truthfully, only if we sit down, relax and decide to find, structure and execute the purpose for our lives.
I was able to buy paints for outside our house and give to a lot of people because the sacrifices these heroes made  months ago, made today possible and that is my joy.
Yoou should have seen the happines on people's faces today, that was my joy seeing them smile and it was possible because of the people I mentioned and a lot more I couldn't mention because even though the human mind is a super computer, it forgets some things.
I truly feel fulfilled helping pothers so I have chosen people like these to mentor me along the way.
# I can now plan my mother's 50th birthday coming up soon(saturday) and be lees concerned about the cost because of you all. My grandma I heard never lived up to 50, so this is my celebration for the first woman I ever loved, and your sacrifices made it happen.
# I truly celebrate you guys now and everyday.
