Loses have done quite a number on me and whenever I try to to move ahead, I am reminded of the possibilities of losing at one point along the next trip/competition.

Seeing life for the way it is, is everybody's beat but getting to make the best of life is for a few. Losing can be hard but it really never means the end of life.., although, it is for some. 
If you are sure about yourself, you will discover that the loss you just had is a recipe for success if you can handle it with the right mindset.

So how do you handle loses?

- **Accept your loss and take it in good fate.**- This is hard no doubt, but you must be willing to accept your loss and take it in good fate. You can become better at handling loses by congratulating your opponent who won the competition.

Accepting your defeat by openly congratulating your opponent can be painful especially since you should be the winner, but that move has proven to be a healthy way to continually thrive in competitions and life's pursuit.

- **Talk about the loss and how you feel about losing.**- You must as a matter of being happy enjoy every competition first before looking to win. The attitude you display while entering a competition.
It does take a certain level of mentality to be able to talk about losing in a bid to feel good and get ready for the next wave. 

Not many are good at losing and accepting it, so when you see someone who can discuss it with his teammates and friends, you should know they are accepting their loses bravely.

- **Make a list of your gains from the competition/lesson.**- In life, the pursuit of happiness is more than losing and winning, there are important lessons meant to be learnt. 

Losing doesn't mean the world is ending, it simply means you didn't win and someone else did. So you must look at the important lessons in the competition or life's lesson.

- **Be high spirited.**- If you dwell on your loses for too long, it can bring about some levels of depressing behaviour that can seriously affect one's mental state. Stay away from what will make you feel bad, because losing in itself inspires negative thoughts and attitude.

Avoid dwelling on the loss as it will just keep increasing the pain by engaging in fun distractions that will help boost your spirit and give you that optimistic outlook that will point good for you and those around you.

- **Give yourself a prize.**- In a competition or live's lesson, get yourself a prize irrespective of the fact whether you win or lose. The major idea apart from learning in a competition is to win and get the ultimate prize. So whenever you are in a competition get a prize for yourself, and this is for a win or a loss. 

For the person who has just lost out, getting yourself a prize will compensate for the loss and get you set for the days ahead.

Take life easy, losing in a competition does not and will never spell the end of your life. 

Life's important lessons are learnt in the field of battle. Those who come out of loses unscathed always  end up with the best wins.
