I hurried down the stairs to the dining room to literally "swallow my breakfast whole". I'm not late for school or anything, but I need to do the *thing* first. I sat on the table, and began eating as fast as a chicken can.
"So, Jim. You will be in charge of the house while me and your mother go to Hawaii okay?" Dad said as he packed the last of their things in the car.
"Sure thing dad." I simply replied.
I grinned, "Hailey, it appears that dad has put me in charge."
"Oh my dear brother, it appears that you have been mistaken. Dad put you in charge of the *house*. Not me." Hailey smiled sweetly, drinking her coffee-tea.
"Oh my dear sister, it appears that I am also in charge of you. My, I have the fundamental prewf." I smiled back.
"Then *prewf* it." she challenged.
"Oh it's on like Donkey Kong." I said in my serious-not-so-serious voice.
Bring in the guns!
"My dearest sister, dad made me in charge of the house meaning everything in it as well right? And may I ask, where do you live? Of course in the house. Therefore, I am in charge of you too." I explained smartly.
Boom!
Dad suddenly joined in, "Hailey, It appears that your brother is right. His temporary reign means he is *the boss* over you as well, for now. Therefore I proudly announce that Jim wins this round." He chuckled and gave me a fist bump.
Double boom! Take that! + #BestDadEver!!
"Hey! That's not fair!" Hailey pouted.
"Don't worry Hailey. Since I am *the boss*, I permit you to sleep as much as you want." I comforted.
"Yay!" Hailey cheered.
I smirked, "I permit you sleep as much as you want, at the start of seven in the evening."
And the trolling continues...
"Okay, enough fussing you two and come here." Dad said calmly.
When we got close enough, dad suddenly gave us a big tight hug. Mom joined in as well and then they went in the car.
"Remember, no throwing of parties, no going to parties or sleepovers without the other, and most importantly, no prank wars." Dad reminded us.
"Especially the prank wars." Mom agreed.
"It's okay dad. you can count on us on the last one. Since the last prank war we had, we no longer have interest in pranking each other." I said happily.
Hailey, smirked, "Yeah, we just prank other people instead."
Why. Hailey. Why.
"No, not even one pra-AHHH!" Mom suddenly screamed as a loud noise emitted from her bag.
"Too late." Hailey smiled mischievously.
"So it was *you* who took my S.E 2.0! I want it back!" I argued.
(S.E 2.0 is a device I created, mainly, for pranks. It's small so it wont be easily spotted, but it creates sound waves ranging from 90 to 130 decibels. Cool right? I'm planning to create different sounds to add more fun.)
Hailey skipped happily about to the car and took my S.E from the bag of my half-pale mother and gave it to me
"Here you go!" Hailey happily said, "Thanks for letting me *borrow* it."
"Remote." I said.
And she handed it as well.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Hailey dear, I left 10 dollars on your cabinet in your room." Dad said calmly while trying to comfort mom.
That girl. Wait, oh no.
"AHHH!" Was all I could hear from the house.
Dad gave mom a fist bump and they both laughed.
These two.
Hailey came out soaking wet, pouting.
"As long as I've got y 10 dollars i'm fine." Hailey said in an angry-laughing tone.
We all laughed.
Then it was time to say goodbye, mom and dad left for Hawaii for a couple of days and me and Hailey went back inside. Hailey went straight to the bathroom to dry herself and I finished my breakfast.
After breakfast, I smiled happily.
Gotta do the *thing*.
