Value your existence

<div class="text-justify">One of the most difficult things for human beings is to value. You may think that I am surely out of place and that this is the easiest thing to do, however, how many times have we been told to place a value on something that we know is ours, that we love very much and that holds a very special place in our heart? But we do not know that value until we find ourselves in the need to say goodbye to it, that is to say, to lose it.

People are accustomed to take for certain or secure everything that makes up our immediate environment, that which is ours, including people (although deep down we know that everything is borrowed and that life is only for a while). How difficult it is for people to value when there is no fear of losing everything.  Hence, today's invitation is to review ourselves, to really look at everything that surrounds us, that which we have made our own over the years, and especially to value it.

Life is not eternal but we spend our existence giving value to things that are not really the most important, for many this pandemic situation has allowed them to value and calibrate their life based on what they always left for later. How many of us, before all of this, were thinking of reuniting with family, friends and loves that today are no longer with us, and it was right at that moment when we discovered that we did not value all the opportunities we had.

Valuing everything we have around us begins with the spiritual growth that gives us daily gratitude for one more day of life, valuing means appreciating what is truly important and giving it its place. To value our life is to become aware of what we are and what we can become, is to love our own life, is to savor every moment next to the people who love us, is to enjoy what we do without thinking so much about whether it is enough for me or not, because when we do things only for economic benefit we will end our days spending our life accumulating material things that we will never be able to enjoy.</div>
