.jpg) This place feels more and more like a ghost town since the price of crypto started dropping. I do try not to discuss too much about the platform, but what the heck - I guess I do care. The opinion is not an original one, and has previously been suggested by Tarazkp. Observing the current structure of the place and how difficult it is for minnows to grow due to a relative lack of, or dwindling support, I would like to put up some ideas how we can make the platform a bit more inclusive and better for everyone. Right now there are too few Whales and only that many Dolphins and orcas. This is not entirely due to lack of support, but a direct consequence of an unwillingness to invest in the platform by minnows. Many just aren't all that interested in powering up. The simple remedy would be an immediate change to this scenario using the trickle down effect. First of all, we should try and prioritize manual curation and community engagement as much as we can. It is obviously a lot more convenient, and maybe more profitable for a whale or dolphin to just delegate their steem power to a bot without having to actively participate on the platform; while there's nothing wrong with that, it harms the community nature of the platform. If manual curation can be a lot more than we have presently, it would be nice to see Whales dedicating themselves to creating as many trustworthy dolphins as they can, probably by consistently supporting their work. Dolphins likewise do same of orcas and the list goes on. It's all wishful thinking but we may need to get serious with how to grow the community soon enough.

Maybe is the whole market, maybe is just steemit, but yes, it looks like a ghost town nowadays. I fully support the idea to promote curation as a method to heal the platform...would not be bad to launch a survey in order to decide which way steem has to follow. A more democratic statute or whitepaper should allow us to improve the blockchain and decide its destiny and proper success.

The bots are a significant flaw in the platform. They don't add value. They warp the functionality of the site. Steemit ought to just have a separate are for promoted and ad content, like other social media sites. They can do that without collecting metadata, and it would add real value to the currency by harnessing the content. Hi, I'm new here and feel the same. I cannot compare the before and after but feel that there's too much hollow noize...I'm not even a minnow, I'm plankton. If I pay a bot I have upvotes and the same or less Steem that I have paid in the first place. If I don't use a bot I don't get anything. It's difficult to connect with people here, small ones like me are like ants begging upvotes and followers. Dolphins usually don't care. Above dolphin... I like being here, but posting good content blog posts on Steemit at the moment it's frustrating and people are better off writing those post for their personal blogs I guess. The only posts that give me steem are the ones I do for Steem Hunt! Cheers
