The Sun in Libra has formed a square with Pluto in Capricorn. This underlines the forecast of tension and adjustment between you, your associates and partners and your ongoing change of direction in life.

<center>**The Sun in Libra**</center>
The Sun in Libra invites your attention to partnerships, alliances, close friendships, your connection to groups that are meaningful to you. This is a specific time of year when you need to take *other people* seriously into account.
In fact, for the rest of the Astrological year, which lasts through the Season of Pisces ... into late March next year ... other people and your connection to them will play a more significant role in the things you plan, think and do.
In Libra, you are especially aware of the assets (and liabilities) other people bring to your life ... and how you manage your relationships with those closest to you. If something here needs attention, it's apt to come up for review.

<center>**Pluto in Capricorn**</center>
Pluto in Capricorn is about recognizing, assessing and *fundamentally changing the way we use, work with and tolerate power.* This specifically includes the power of government, Big Business and the growing menace of the corporatocracy that threatens to take over and manage every piece of life on earth.
At a personal level it means *reorganizing the rules you live by to a tremendous extent.* The basic structures in one major area of your existence, things you've literally depended on or known *all your life* are due to be shattered, improved and replaced.
This, of course, will result in a significant course correction in the path your life takes from this point forward ... moving you into a more meaningful and personally relevant destiny.
This sounds like a *huge undertaking* -- and believe me, it is. But it doesn't usually arrive in one enormous cataclysmic convulsion (although it certainly can.) Normally it takes place in increments ... an escalating insistence that you *change -- or at least significantly modify -- your direction and adopt a new vision about what you want to do with your life.*
What we're talking about in this square between Pluto and the Sun is a moment of significant and discernible change between what you were doing a while ago ... and what you'll be doing soon.

<center>**And WTF is happening???**</center>
One thing that may make this moment a bit more intense, however, is that Pluto is now more than 2/3 of the way through it's time in Capricorn. (It won't return here for more than 225 years.) And the more change that is necessary to line you up on the proper trajectory -- and the more you have resisted all the past invitations -- the more intense these changes in the last years of this transit are bound to be.
Pluto entered Capricorn very late in 2008 (November 27) ... so essentially from 2009 on you've been working on this program of change and improvement. It may have been very subtle at first ... just a passing piece of fantasy ... or a restless tickle that maybe you wanted to do something else with yourself -- something more in line with your current values ... something more *authentically you.*
Pluto leaves Capricorn (and moves into feisty Aquarius) in 2024 (November 19) -- so we'll have a few more of these sessions between now and then. But if you can look at your life (and be objective), you may see what it takes in terms of work and adjustments to move onto this more genuine path. If -- to quote a song I was reminded of recently -- you've "got a long way to go, and a short time to get there," you may find these final connections turn up the heat -- and get pretty intense.
Just as an example -- look at the way the government has been behaving ... and how fed up the voting public has become (with each passing election.) If ever there were a constipated institution in need of a good "evacuation," I'd point to that one.
Ever since the government bail-out of Wall Street (which happened ... when??? Late in 2008. October 3. Notice the timing!), popular anger has grown. That boiling point is about two breaths away at the moment ... and when it reaches critical mass ... the dominoes will fall. The American Revolution itself happened last time with Pluto in Capricorn. The next one may be coming up fast.
Just by way of information ... Capricorn in Astrology rules government, big business, corporate interests, the military ... and the police. Anything to do with organized authority.

<center>**Another piece of an uphill climb**</center>
In the meantime, changes in your personal world are happening -- changes in your professional life, in your public involvements, in the career you follow, in the way you invest and manage your life. This will impact three different areas other than "status and community standing." It will affect *you, your alliances and your family.* It will eventually affect many other things as well -- possibly *everything.* But right now, those four head the list.
Key among them in this particular contact are your relationships, your associates, your partnerships, the "other people" who populate your life -- your connections to the public in general ... and how you can arrange these now to suit your change in direction.
Sun / Pluto squares are often uncomfortable. They make you change habits and routines that are automatic, entrenched and *very familiar.* At some level in your personal life, you're coping with issues of power and control. You may try to force changes on others ... or on life itself -- sometimes just to prove you can. Or you may be trying to manage changes that have been forced on you. (But the power and control theme remains. It just wears different clothing.)
When the Sun squares Pluto, you have to deal with things (and people) who won't just bow to your will. I know -- that might be convenient ... if only they'd cooperate. But they have their own agendas and ideas. Trying to work it all out and find the best course for everyone is your challenge when this square arrives.
But, if you can, pause and look at how these changes are at least in part happening ... *because of changes in you.* That may give you a wider perspective ... and maybe more sympathy for what everyone's going through now.

There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: [AstroLabe](https://alabe.com). I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, ***time*** and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.

<center>**About the art in our visual essays ...**</center>
Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better.
