**Venus** = the pleasure principle, the guide you use in managing relationships and supplies, the way you ask for love

**Mars** = aggression, self-assertion, anger, temper, sexual libido, the way you express love and desire

**Approaching squares** = problems based on insufficient respect, recognition, appreciation, deference, etc.; issues in which you feel your authority or territory has been infringed

<center><H5>What's happening?</H5></center>

This is a cranky irritable energy and it will be around for a little over a week. The Venus-ruled issues of relationships & money are especially troublesome. Quarrels, petty disagreements and sniping, critical remarks may increase, damaging your dealings with people who could be fairly important to you when you're in a better mood. People in new relationships may find you too aggressive, temperamental, hard to be around and too high-maintenance to appeal for long.

You seem critical, angry all the time -- touchy and unpredictable, and so your relationships suffer. People start giving you *a lot of space* because it's dangerous to disturb you -- or even attract your attention. Ironically, this is the last thing you want because *a lack of credit and loving attention* is at the root of the problem.

You may spend money -- or spend money impulsively and selfishly -- to make yourself feel better, or because "you deserve it" -- which causes problems -- especially if there's a disparity between what you contribute and what you're pulling out of communal finances. Anything that appears to be "getting more than your fair share" is a flashpoint -- or if your partner seems to be harvesting all the goodies, that, too, becomes a sore point.

Fortunately, it's short-lived and should be easy to manage -- if your mouth doesn't get you in trouble ... or if there's not a long history of problems like this -- which makes this just another straw on the camel's back. You'll have to judge how much it affects you in real life -- but be aware ... this energy is around now -- and it can be volatile.

<center><H5>What to expect?</H5></center>

* Impulse spending ---> on things that are too expensive, too impractical, too "selfish" (in someone's opinion)

* A grumpy, irritable attitude in which *nothing suits* you ---> especially if you feel exploited or used because you're doing "most of the work" (in your opinion) and "getting none of the rewards" -- again ... as the narrative thread in your side of the story --->

* A sour, resentful, critical way of presenting yourself ---> people who could be interested in knowing you better decide to keep moving instead

* Being too forceful in your complaints or grievances / getting upset over really petty stuff -- because you've been stuffing issues back down out of sight for a long time ... or because you're not able to be open and honest about what's really bothering you

* Generally feeling "overworked and underpaid" -- which is not a good place to be for anyone

* Feeling you don't get enough credit or appreciation for all you do -- and to top it all off, you don't get enough rewards to make the effort worthwhile

Again, this is a temporary, passing mood. *You will get over it,* and life will go on. But for now, try not to line yourself up for future grief because you've said or done things in the heat of the moment based on a temper tantrum ... or exaggerations ... or because you said things that were untrue or unfair. That's not going to help anyone, least of all you.

There is a sextile between Venus and Jupiter now that can keep this from turning into something really serious. I'll talk about that next time. But it's not as good as this one is potentially a problem ... if you know what I mean. Just be aware.
