One of the 5 oceans of the globe is the Arctic. It is located in the northern area and is mostly made up of ice, almost all year round, so we say it is a polar cap. In recent times, there has been an alarm worldwide for the speed of melting glaciers, especially the melting in the Arctic, the forecasts in this regard are not encouraging.

It is estimated that in some decades (two or three) the thaw in the Arctic will be total, mainly due to global climate change, a fact that will bring negative aspects both biotic and abiotic at the local level, but also involve changes in the world, changes that affect life as it is known today.
