A New Year's Resolution - A New You! - The Gift! - Enjoy with Troy!

We begin the new year with high hopes.   It comes as a gift unopened.  It's like an empty black board waiting for someone to draw upon it. . It is  a baby, innocent and pure.  We slowly unwrap this gift to learn the wonders that each day brings. We are given the gift of life as we live to see its marvels. This gift of life is for us to enjoy and embrace.  But also for us to share as we give to others out of love.

With the new year, comes resolutions for many.  Some people want to lose weight or get out of debt. Others wish to find that right person in their life or save their marriage. Still others plan to acquire that new promotion, or graduate from a school of higher learning. 

# Change Comes From Within

Sadly, many folks fail to reach their resolutions.  They try  to change an activity rather than change themselves.  Real change comes from within.  You cannot quit smoking by deciding to not buy cigarettes.  You must possess the conviction and desire within to want to quit inside your heart.  Without that it is fruitless.   Also it takes about 21 days to create a new habit. Are you willing to change from within?  Are you willing to make an investment in you? Do you believe in you and what can become?

# Happiness Verses Joy

Have you ever wondered the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is short lived and from an eternal happening.  But real joy is lasting because it is internal and generated inside you. That is why we feel better when we give than when we receive. 

# Changing From Within

I know of someone who can change you from within.   In fact He  believes in you. He cares for you so much that he took the time to make you from scratch.  Yes, He wanted an original as He hand crated you in a very special way.  

Who is He you may ask?   His name is Jesus, and he cares about you so much that he went through hell, literally, so you would not need to. He offers all of us hope for a better life and a better you. Through Him, we can form new habits and fulfill resolutions.  Through Him, we can face each day and each new year.  Through Him, we have a gift...our life an eternal life, free from pain and suffering.

# A New You

I would encourage you to accept His gift and ask God into your life. Ask for forgiveness from your sins. Turn away from your sins...your old self.   And start a new life and new year with the hope He gives.  Repenting and starting new is like a new year's resolution.  Yet, it is one, that with His help, you will keep. And though Him, you can make and keep many changes in your life. Turn your life over  to God today.  Let Him take charge. And accept His gift!   Make it a New Year and a New You!

# And A Fresh New Year!

Enjoy the gift the new year has to offer.   Find peace and joy in letting God mold you.  And Remember that to spell joy is Jesus, Others and You in that order. Happy New Year and Happy New You!
