In humbleness I bring a Christmas song parody. 'Oh Sacred Right' is a parody of the familiar carol 'O Holy Night.' The lyrics I wrote are in it's traditional style of the original sheet music, as I have both sung and played this in churches.
# The sacred right of family empowering to us
The rights of family is a right and responsibility given to us by our creator. He instills in on us and no government or person can take that from us. I address this in the first verse. It has always been this way. But now evil and the CPS governmental foster care system wises to kidnap that right from parents. I speak of apathy 'to heart the helpless voices' for it is 'my God given right.'
Verse two speak of this evil with government streaming' cash to fund the 'greedy hearts' of the 'scheming of the social workers' in an 'Orwellian land.' 'The innocent are sold and shipped' to folks who have only monetary interest as they are strangers.
The final verse speaks how we can and will overcome the oppression and corruption of this system and how the family will rise again. The parody begins and end very positive and triumphantly hopeful. The family will be restored to the glory it deserves. Families will be empowered and justice will prevail. Amen.
# The Videos
I offer three videos. The first is an A Capella arrangement of the familiar song and arranged by Matt Nickle. This has refreshing and new musical voicing to the old traditional carol. It is quite beautiful and incorporates all three verses and two of the three choruses. The second is a very traditional performance by BBC Carols for Kings 2017. It utilizes boys choir, men's choir, pipe organ and note for note performance as written in the original sheet music. Again nicely done and a pleasure to hear this staple of Christmas.
The final video I included as an extra. Recorded by Gentri and utilizing two of the three verses, it is a heartwarming, moving video.It depicts the real meaning of loving others. May the message from this video speak to your heart at Christmas and always. The end of this video has the quote below from Jesus - I can see one of the least of these as the helpless child enslaved in foster care.
