Who Is A Foster Child And Compromised Innocence - Enjoy with Troy!

What is a foster child? Do we even know...or has the busy freeway of life deterred us? Has the glare of apathy made us unable to see the young along the roadway. There are many of these foster children out there in our cities and avenues. You probably won't find them in band or little league. They may not frequent the honor roll or be popular in class. But the Child Protective Services and other social services know who they are. In fact it was the CPS who created their painful journey for which many never heal.

# Let me ask you this...

Have you ever lost a mom or dad?
Have you ever been stalked or harassed?
Have you ever lived somewhere against your will?
Has anyone ever treated you as a possession rather than a person?
Have you ever had to give up dreams, freedoms or family?
Have you ever felt unwanted?
Were you ever physically or emotionally abused or used?
Have you ever been forced or expected to give sex for what you needed?
Did you ever live on the streets, in a shelter or on a porch for a period?
Did you ever grow up among addictions of drugs or alcohol?
Did you ever wonder why you could not see your mom or dad?
Did you even realize you may have rights of your own?

# Yes...

Many of these questions sadly can be answered yes by us. I can speak personally to much of this although I was never a foster child. However this is the life of the innocent when placed in the foster system. These children fall though the cracks of life and often end in tragic scenarios....on the streets, in prisons and in graveyards. Yet many of us share the same emotions and experiences and end up in colleges or corporations embracing life. If only the foster child could do the same.

Yet it is up to us to reach out and lift these young one up to a better place. It is up to us to be their voice and speak for them. We must prevent these perils from entering the life of children. Pro-family groups like @familyprotection are doing just that.

# Like refreshing water

A child is pure and innocent like a nice clean glass of water. Yet when we pour other ingredients into that water it contaminates it. The color and taste change...even if it is just a small ingredient, the change is big. It is not the same pure glass of water. The glass of refreshment has been compromised and contaminated and no longer refreshing. So too when children are polluted by the evils of life...including the CPS foster care system. Taking a child away from mom and dad moves the child from its pure state to an environment of potential harm and contamination. Physical and emotional baggage enters in their life and destroys it just like the pure water.

# We must protect innocence

It is up to us to protect children from these perils. Pro-family groups like @familyprotection are doing just that. Loving folks are taking a stand for the rights of family and the freedom of children. They want to keep families together and prevent the devastation that can tragically come to the young. Great post.. Children are always special, the most important factor in life of a child is growing up with both parents. It is so sad to see families divided especially the kids and it´s also sad to think of those children gping to foster homes..
