New Year's Steem Resolution for 2018

It's been a wild ride since buying my first Bitcoin in January 2017. Not only did I make enough to graduate debt free, but along the way I also got involved with blockchain research, open source projects, and communities both online and offline. Steemit being one of the best one of them.

I like to write. As an MIT student, I kept a blog at [MIT Admission](http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/author/erick). But since I just graduated, I am in search of a new place to call my blog posts home. 

As part of my New Year's Resolution to get the ball rolling with blogging on Steemit regularly, I will attempt to make one new post on Steemit every day for the month of January.

11:57 PM. I'm already behind. Don't want to break my New Year's resolution on the first day so I'm rushing, excuse typos. Let's make it interesting.  If on any day of January I don't  post, **I will forfeit both the STEEM and SBD of my most recent post to anyone who commented on that post**.

It was cool meeting you virtually. I think I first noticed you on Twitter and I am really happy to make your acquaintance here too. Thanks for mentioning me and our project slothicorn. Actually, we just started so we are a bit unorganized so far, considering I'm not a programmer and it is now just a community initiative. I decided to start it building people first, then we can build the technology based on our needs. From my observation, projects usually melt down not bc of tech, but because of people. So, i thought we would start with bonding people together.....tech later....
Anyway, MIT, wow, that's cool. Thanks for the shoutout!
