The Big News
Next year it's going to be interesting what men's tennis is regarding. There are a lot of great talents playing right now and each of them wants to win as many titles as possible. Some of them are young, others are not so young, which means they have more experience but also that they are close to retiring as they can't play forever, right? There comes a time when you have to say goodbye to professional tennis and choosing the best moment is an art.

Some get out right at the top of their career, when they are still winning, others don't and wait hoping to win some more while getting beaten repeatedly by more younger players. That is a shame as it's not easy to digest a string of unsuccessful matches, plus they are risking to be remembered for the string of losses, as the people who didn't know when to quit.

So, when is the best time to quit? No one knows, there's no answer for that, you have to feel that in your bones and have to know yourself very well. Looks like Roger Federer is well aware of that and he's thinking of retiring.

>Inside myself I decided that I want to play until Wimbledon. [source](https://www.eurosport.com/tennis/roger-federer-admits-retirement-discussions-are-underway-with-wimbledon-and-olympics-in-play_sto7464186/story.shtml)

This means he's planning to still play as he wants to win some titles but he's not excluding retiring. It is believed Olympic Games is one of his targets as he's never won an Olympic gold. In 2020 there will take place the Olympic Games in Tokyo, it's his last chance to try to get an Olympic gold medal.

If you ask me, I wish him the best of luck, I'd like to see him winning all that he's planning to win and retire as a champion. He deserves it, has worked hard for it. We'll see I guess.

Next in line to retire I believe it's going to be Serena Williams. She doesn't look like she wants to but her results are indicating that it's already time. I'm repeating myself here but I'm really curious to see how the next season is going to turn out for her. I truly hope it's going to be very good, otherwise she made a huge mistake by not retiring.
