Thank you for this useful post. I found both your perspective and the tools you've shared to be useful moving forward on Steemit!

I watched your interview with @jerrybanfield yesterday as well. I have not had a chance to comment on it yet, and have just come across this post so I wanted to mention something about my thoughts regarding what you said in that interview. You mentioned things that people could do to get their material in front of you.

I cannot remember off hand what the exact wording you used was so I'm giving the 'gist' I got from what you said about this.
**Basically it sounds as if people who are focused solely on the topic of all things "crypto currency" related are more likely to get seen and voted on.**

*I know you vote on other things because you upvoted me once before on something not exaclty related to the topic of "crypto".* (I'd like to say thank you for this btw :)
That said I know I've seen others express what I am also thinking regarding this matter. There are poeple who are all "crypto", all of the time... *and* there are people who feel they may see a great value in crypto, more specifically Steemit and the Steem Dollar *beacause* of it's potential to make great changes in the world (in all of the ways you have mentioned above...) **as a tool**. Many of these people, myself included, view Steem and other crypto currencies primarily as a **Tool* to incorporate in with other methods of making change.

I'll use myself as an example and try to keep it short. I look at being on Steemit as something that has the potential enable me to share information without censorship, share creativity focused primarily on healing and connection to the natural world, and hopefully be able to generate more resources to help support both my creative endeavors, as well as a Permaculture project.
The impetus for creating the permaculture project was not only from my own and my family's needs, but from observing the ways in which access to clean healthy food sources are being hampered intentionally. This is being perpetrated by corporations and govts. and they are using food as weapons against the masses of humans on the planet. This is also being used to sway support of the uninformed toward believeing we need GMO foods and toxic pesticides which are bad for everyone, and everything in nature.

I would like to be able to focus on keeping my awareness of crypto currencies, and trends with them in one 'box' or 'file' (so to speak) in my mind, that I can open when I need to, but keep in it's proper place with respect to my own personal priorities list.

What I mean is, I might enjoy reading your articles about crypto currencies, for instance, but I don't want to have to write **about** crypto currencies in any regular fashion to have someone who is (understandably so) mostly interested in the crypto currency topic find my material in the first place, much less feel it is relevant.

People who accumulate a massive amount of resources often do so because that is where their focus is. So I guess my point, and my request would be to ask that any whales who are trying to use what they have, to make the world a better place with more balance and fairness... (which I definitely believe you are @teamsteem because you come across as a very genuine person!) Please try to pull your minds back occasionally from the crypto currency topic while curating (if you don't already) and look around at other materials that are getting buried because of the topics they are relevant to.

You 'guys' are better to write about 'crypto' because it is your specialty, but ya'll won't be able to eat in your new world if the people trying to grow the food can't figure out how to get the resources to make that work *or* if they cannot share their awareness with many people. Lol. Then it will not be much different from what it is now. I just ask that you consider this if you haven't already. :)

Not all content creators want to talk about "crypto" all the time, and not many people who are in the 'gen. pop.' are going to join just to read about that topic all of the time. They will want to see the other topics too or they will stay where they can read about them easily. (yucky Facebook for example! Lol)

Thank you for your time! Sorry it is such a long comment, but I feel it's important.

**Blessings for you and those like you who are trying to make the world better!**

@teamsteem ·
I totally agree. Crypto is just a subject among many others and I haven't seen any eatable crypto yet. I don't discriminate against any subject.

That said, the problems we are faced with is caused by what I mentioned in my post and crypto will help alleviate a lot of these problems.

I think most of what I vote on is not cryptocurrencies. Thank you for your nice comment. I remember you from hearing you on the radio.

I didn't really sense that *you* do this, and am glad to hear it!

I really hope so! With people like you and @jerrybanfield holding that vision, I believe it can happen!

👍 Awesome!
I see a lot of people in general focusing so much on crypto currrencies that it's almost like when the natural gas companies come to a remote area when people are mostly poor and offer jobs... they get so excited at the potential relief from the struggle that all balance is lost. They loose themselves in the $$$ only to find they've wasted it. Then the industry moves out leaving what seems like a ghost town, with little hope of people financially recovering, once again, after the people of the town have wasted all of the potential they had... because the industy told them they would be there for like 30 years, or more, when they (the companies) knew they would not be. Crypto is exciting but balance is key IMHO. 😊

You are very welcome, just speaking the truth.

Oh dear... Lol!😊 That's only the second time I've ever done that, Lol!

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to answer. I know you have a lot of people to answer so it is much appreciated, and unexpected! 👍 ✌️
