Hello my people <b><i>STEEMIT</i></b>

 <div class="text-justify"><p> The song that I present to you today is titled <b><i>"Miguel y su báquiro"</i></b>, the lyrics are by the excellent Venezuelan poet and humorist <b><i>Aquiles Nazoa ( 1920-1976)</i></b> and the <b><i> music is under reservation of rights</i></b>, since to date I have not been able to know who the author is. I could hear the melodic line of this Merengue, for the first time, sung by my mother, I was barely 7 years old. In this letter, as well as in much of the literary work of the poet <b><i>Nazoa</i></b>, the <b><i> customs and values ​​of Venezuelan popular culture are reflected, including the social and political reality of the time</i></b>. In <b><i>"Miguel y su baquiro" the repeated use of esdrújulas words is evident. In this way, the poet achieves a special type of harmonic rhythm that gives a particular intonation to the song, making it more striking to our ears. Here is my version.</i></b></p></div>
</div><div class="text-justify"><p>La canción que hoy les presento se titula <b><i>"Miguel y su báquiro"</i></b>, la letra es del excelso poeta y humorista venezolano <b><i>Aquiles Nazoa (1920-1976)</i></b> y la <b><i>música está bajo reserva de derecho</i></b>, pues a la fecha no he podido conocer quién es el autor. La línea melódica de este Merengue la pude oír, por primera vez, cantada por mi mamá, apenas yo tendría unos 7 años de edad. En esta letra, así como en gran parte de obra literaria del poeta <b><i>Nazoa</i></b>, se reflejan las <b><i>costumbres y los valores de la cultura popular venezolana, incluyendo la realidad social y política de la época</i></b>. En <b><i>“Miguel y su báquiro” se evidencia el uso reiterado de palabras esdrújulas. De esta manera, el poeta logra un tipo especial de ritmo armónico que le da una entonación particular a la canción, haciéndola más llamativa a nuestro oído. Aquí les dejo mi versión.</i></b></p></div></div>

<center>Al pie de un guácimo donde veíase
así tan cómodo como un sultán
en su habitáculo cerca de Antímano
tenía un báquiro Miguel Guzmán.

Miguel Teníalo desde la época
en que minúsculo lo capturó
y como lástima le dio comérselo
igual que un párbulo lo prohijó.

Allá en Antímano donde entre árboles
su granga avícola tiene Miguel
al pie de un guácimo como ya díjose
amarró al báquiro con un cordel.

A diario echábale verduras pútridas
conchas de plátano y hasta maíz
y con tal régimen fue en forma insólita
creciendo el báquiro gordo y feliz.

Pero el cuadrúpedo bicho selvático
no estaba cómodo con trato tal
y allá en su espíritu como en un sótano
su mala índole seguía igual.

Hasta que el sábado dice el periódico
cuando solícito se acercó a él
en forma subita y azas diabólica
furioso el báquiro mordió a Miguel.

Aquí hay políticos que por estúpidos
o bien por líricos sufriendo están
de los mismísimos efectos trágicos
que de su báquiro Miguel Guzmán
