Hello brothers and sisters of the church, I bring you greetings from steemchurch Nigeria. Taking a closer look at the life of Christ Jesus, he had so much followers and won a lot of souls for God not just because of the miracles he performed but most especially the life he portrays.
Christ gives to poor, visits and surround himself with people who to the world are hopeless and useless.
Today lot of Christians get it all wrong, they honour and hold wealthy men and women with high esteem over the poor, in some churches they provide special seats for the rich and if you are not wealthy, you can’t have access to the senior pastor. This is really wrong and detrimental to the entire body of Christ.

As Christians we ought to show love and respect one another equally, Christ did not come for the rich alone, from biblical references, Christ associated himself more with the poor because he doesn’t believe in earthly riches, he always emphasize on storing your riches in heaven, a very good example is the parable of the rich man and the beggar Lazarus in Luke 16: 19 – 25,
> 19 There was a certain rich man who [habitually] clothed himself in purple and fine linen and [a]reveled and feasted and made merry in splendor every day.
20 And at his gate there [b]was [carelessly] dropped down and left a certain [c]utterly destitute man named Lazarus, [reduced to begging alms and] covered with [[d]ulcerated] sores.
21 He [eagerly] desired to be satisfied with what fell from the rich man’s table; moreover, the dogs even came and licked his sores.
22 And it occurred that the man [reduced to] begging died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 And in Hades (the realm of the dead), being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have pity and mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Child, remember that you in your lifetime fully received [what is due you in] comforts and delights, and Lazarus in like manner the discomforts and distresses; but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.

People will change and accept Christ if we Christians live right, So please from today, let’s ensure we give equal right and respect to everyone regardless of their financial status, or current state, Remember - if no one is poor no one is rich!
