Matthew 14:14-21
>And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. Vs 14
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. Vs 15
But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. Vs 16
And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. Vs 17
He said, Bring them hither to me. Vs 18
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Vs 19
And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. Vs 20
And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. Vs 21

Let's get to reflect on how we respond in times of crisis and emergencies:
- What happens to our body chemistry? 
- How do we engage those around us? 
- How did the Lord respond in our text today? 

In the mist of a hunger crisis, the Lord took what was first available, looked up and gave THANKS. The result leaves us an example to follow.

- Not to panic, complain, become discouraged or frustrated. 
- Not to look at how little or big the problem is, but to look up and give thanks. 

Giving thanks in the midst of crisis and in crisis is both an act and demonstration of faith that leads to: a life of fullness and blessings, and releases the power to perform miracles of multiplication. 

God still does and will still continue to do the miracle of multiplication per say, (multiplication table miracle) only if you know what the principle of multiplication is. 

The principle of God's miracle of multiplication is GIVING THANKS.

The more you give thanks, the less you hunger and the more full and blessed you will be. Practice giving thanks today: even for what is not enough and you will begin to see multiplication. Begin now. 

### PRAYER:
Dear Father, I believe. Thank you for the gift of my life and everything else. Thank you for what I do not yet have and for what I have in abundance. 

### REFLECTION:
It takes much fewer muscles to smile than to be angry. We smile more than we are thank-full.
