Our major focus in life should be how we can posses God because He is the creator of heaven and earth. Material things should not be our major focus in life.

Possess means to influence. To influence means to get a result from some body without force.

possessing God means using apparent influence in your life. Possessing God means possessing all things. 

Those who possess God fears God and hate iniquity. Those who posses, God never leaves them. Those who posses God carries God everywhere.

Rich or poor, if God is not with you, you are a wretched person.

- **Self or Natural Instinct**

**ROMANS 8:5**
> For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Vs. 5

- **Sin**

**JOHN 8:34**
> Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. Vs. 34

- **Satan**

**JOHN 8:44**
> Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Vs. 44

- **The World**

**JOHN 15:18-19**
> If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Vs. 18
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Vs. 19

When one is being possessed  by the things of the world, one will always have excuses not to serve God.

**1 JOHN 2:15-16**
> Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Vs. 15
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Vs. 16

- Lust of flesh
- lust of the eyes
- The pride of life

There is no eternal life unless one complies and posses God.

**JOHN 3:16**
> For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

**<center>EFFECTS OF POSSESSING GOD IN LIFE</center>**

Life is not defined by what we have, it is define by who we posses.
When we posses Him, we have all we need in life to live.

**1 JOHN 4:4**
> Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Vs. 4


When we posses God, we 
- Prosper
- have assurance in life
- Respect
- Freed from slavery 
- When we posses God, we become the leader



**HEBREW 1:9**
> Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Vs. 9
