This winter holiday is dated back to Feb, 2019. It was snowing in most of the northern areas of Pakistan. So, on one weekend, we made a sudden plan to visit the nearest hill station. We packed our essentials and hit the road. It was a  three hours pleasant drive. At that time, I had only one child. So, it was just the three of us i.e. me, my husband and our son ( 2 years old at that time).

We reached our destination in the afternoon. The car was really warm and comfortable because of the heater. But when we stepped out, it was extremely chilly.

Husband and son went to the hotel reception to check-in. I decided to wait outside to check the view and guess what? I slipped. There were two steps. Although, I did see them but my foot simply slide on them and in the next moment, I was lying there. My back and right leg was seriously injured. Cut the story short, I went to the doc and he gave me pain killers. I was able to walk but the pain was still there.

The reason of the fall was that, I wasn't wearing proper snow boots and it rained last night so the snow was really hard and slippery.

After checking in the room, we took some rest and in the evening, we decided to dine out.
The cafe was looking really beautiful covered in snow.

The next morning, we had brunch and the view in front of the hotel was really cool. Husband and I sat down to enjoy coffee and our son played in the snow with some other random children. He had the time of his life. You can clearly see in the pictures.

After that we just strolled in the hills. The sceneries were really breath taking. We took pictures here and there to capture some memories.

For the next few days, routine was pretty much the same. We just relaxed and walked around and enjoyed beautiful views. I was injured so I wasn't able to do much anyways. But I didn't let that affect my mood by just enjoying nature. I was happy to see my son enjoying.

On the last day, we bumped into some friends. We planned a bonfire night with them. Really enjoyed the bonfire in the middle of snow. We barbecued some chicken and really enjoyed the meal. Listened to some great music and just relaxed and gossiped till midnight.

The next day, after breakfast we hit the road again to go back. It was a really good holiday. I think sudden plans are best. They lift the mood in the best possible way.
