Living a Life in Service - 6 Year Old @qiqi-power Shows Us the Way!

<h2>Some of my best days are spent with children. <br>
They tend to be the most loving, forgiving, conscious, <br>
excited, inspired, and **alive** beings.</h2>
<h3>At the @gardenofeden, I get to play with them everyday, <br>
and I am blessed they also like to play with me!</h3>

Today I'll share with you just one of the days I spent with @qiqi-power,<br>
daughter of @quinneaker and @truelovelives.</p>

<strong>QiQi is now 6 years old, has her own Steemit account,<br>

<p><strong>QiQi outshines all of us adults in her joyous engagement in the community.<br>
She is a helper through and through, and LOVES doing EVERYTHING!<br>
She is also incredibly competent, so when she does something,<br>
you know she is going to do it well.</strong></p>

<p>We started our day off with a fresh fruit platter,<br>
which @qiqi-power &nbsp;helped to select, peel, cut, &nbsp;and arrange.</p>

<p>We ate it together in the fresh air out on the trampoline in the morning sun.</p>

<p>She was excited to help me start my day, and help others by doing things that benefit us all.</p>

<p>She noticed that the trash needed to go out, so she just grabbed it on her way by.</p>

<p>She also helped to take care of the recycling, reuseables, compost and feeding the chickens.</p>

<p>We potted a couple of plants that outgrew their pots.</p>

<p>We moved the aloe from it's safe winter haven in the garage out into the sun to get fresh air.</p>

<p>And then we watered them all with water from the well.</p>

QiQi is aware of when the plants need to be watered,<br>
how much water they take and how often.<br>
She knows that well water or rain<br>
is better for them than chemically treated city water,<br>
and was very happy to gather the buckets,<br>
fill them with well water, find a couple of scoops for pouring,<br>
all the while singing a little tune and giggling along the way.</p>

<p>Though QiQi is very joyous, she is also very focused. &nbsp;<br>
She doesn't skip a beat, get distracted,<br>
or wander off when there are other things to pull her attention away.</p>

<p>We spent time together in the garden watering the comfrey.</p>

<p>And gave some to the blackberries and mint too along the way.</p>

<p>She also took care of her little brother when he was in need.<br>
She made a snack for her siblings.<br>
She organized some toys.<br>
And closed the chickens in for the night and collected their eggs.</p>

<p>@qiqi-power and I were blessed to spend the entire day together<br>
nurturing ourselves,<br>
nurturing the land,<br>
and contributing value to others in the community.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p><strong>A six year old who spends her day in service to others already,<br>
is really a high vibe being.<br>
She already knows the value of creating a life<br>
based on health, love, and passion.<br>
She is conscious, responsible and incredibly giving.<br>
<br>
If you ever ask QiQi to help you with something,<br>
she'll always ecstatically say yes.<br>
And even if you don't ask, she sees when you need help<br>
and is there to help you anyway.</strong><br>

This is what happens when a child is raised as a responsible being...<br>
When they are talked to like an adult<br>
instead of being babied or treated as incapable..<br>
And when they are loved and nurtured and shown that anything is possible.</p>

<p><em>@quinneaker really holds incredible space for his children<br>
(and for everyone in the @gardenofeden community for that matter!)<br>
He truly honors their divinity,<br>
and helps them live true to their values by living in honor of his own.<br>

Indeed @kingsolo!  "Without being told" is really key, as most children have "chores" that they resist, and often do whatever they can to get out of, and then get in trouble for not doing.  It's a constant battle for most parents on a daily basis.  Then the kids grow up irresponsible because they see "chores" as separate from life and something that one must do even though they don't want to.  There is a big separation between doing things because you want to, and doing things because you have to.  And when the motivation for doing something comes from without instead of within, it takes a lot of gumption to feel joyous in the doing.

I so appreciate your comment.  I hope more people will begin to recognize the joys of responsible living!

It is truly incredible to see how a human being can engage life on all levels with such happiness.  She is never told what to do and when to do it.  She is a vital part of this community because she has chosen to be.  She is more capable and responsible than many many many of the people who have come through our gates, and sets an example for others on a moment to moment basis.

@quinneaker's ability to hold space for this freedom AND responsibility for his children (and as I said,the entire community!!!) is really remarkable.  Even though we have been conditioned to other ways of being managed by coercion, threat and punishment, he shines a light that shows there is THANKFULLY another way.

I hope parents will tune into these possibilities.  For until we change our parenting, we will never be able to make long-term change to the world.

Absolutely. We all say we want to make the future better but why not leave better children for the future? When we do this, the change we need to see in the future will be impacted through cultured and well taught children. I sincerely admire what you all, with  @quinneakar  are doing in that amazing community despite the hostility and coercion. @gardenofeden is here to stay. I read @quinneakar's disappointment at the steemit community. I am little for now...but every little bit helps, right? Tell me what i need to do, i am always a big fan.
